Chemical Pretreatment

Pretreatment aids the filtration some wastewater contaminants.

Precipitate metals or foulants. Precipitation of metals, or removal of foulants, can be achieved using chemical pretreatment. This may be achieved under the control of pH or ORP (Oxidation / Reduction Potential) This form of pretreatment allows a microfiltration (MF) or ultrafiltration (UF) membrane to retain the precipitated contaminants during subsequent treatment.
