Ion Exchange

Polishes water where the highest quality water is required.

Use in Pre and Post Treatment. Ion exchange is a traditional method of removal for organic contaminants in aqueous streams. There are many applications, such as polishing prior to use in boilers to selective removal of contaminants in drinking water applications.

Ion exchange can be useful both as a pretreatment to membrane systems, for example, as a means of softening prior to reverse osmosis, or as post-treatment for final polishing to produce the highest quality water for use in such applications as pharmaceutical manufacturers or semi-conductor manufacture.
